NEWBOND® 2K TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE PARQUET ADHESIVE NB-2K-91 is formulated according to APA-E30 Engineered Wood Construction Guide. NEWBOND® 2K is designed for laying of solid wood parquet, mosaic parquet, block parquet, multi-layer parquet, solid wood flooring, laminate and other types of wood floorings accordingly to HP-1-09 and EF-09 ANSI/HPVA (American National Standard for Hardwood and Decorative Plywood) and HP-SG-1996 (Structural Design Guide for Hardwood Plywood Wall Panels) regarding the absorbing and non-absorbing bases for indoor premises.

NEWBOND®2K is solvent-free. It provides highly durable and elastic bonding. It can be used also for built-in heated floorings.

Average consumption is 1000 – 1300 g/m² depending on surface structure and absorption capacity of both subfloor and parquet.

Indoor atmospheric conditions and subfloor temparature shall correspond to requirements of APA R280 (Performance Rated Panel Subfloors under Hardwood Flooring).  Subfloor shall be always dry, crack and dust free and free from contaminates which will affect bonding. 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Subfloor shall be even. Porous subfloors shall be preliminarily treated by grinding and  priming.

Mix both components to get homogenous compound. Apply adhesive evenly by using notched spatula. Install parquet directly. Excesses of adhesives shall be removed by using acetone or white spirit before curing. After curing they could be removed only by grinding. Adhesive sets in 30-45 minutes after mixing. Application time is 45-60 minutes. Parquet is ready for grinding or walking in 24-28 hours after application.

ATTENTION! Don’t apply at temperature below +59^oF.  At cold weather conditions parquet and adhesive shall be stored in heated room to get normal temperature.
